Family historian. Poet. Dreamer.

I am a poet, genealogist and home educating mother of five. Welcome to my home on the web!

My family’s roots are in Ireland, Hungary and Croatia and the large majority of my ancestors were Catholic. Way back in 2007 I started three genealogy blogs to tell the stories of the various branches of my family tree.  In 2011 I helped birth a new blog with a focus on Catholic research. I remain one of the contributing authors over at the The Catholic Gene.

With my interest in Eastern European Catholic roots, I authored the following genealogy QuickGuides published by Legacy Family Tree: Catholic Genealogy, Hungarian Genealogy, and Croatian Genealogy. I will also be offering my first webinar this coming year as part of the Legacy Family Tree 2017 webinar seriesFinding Your Roots in Catholic Records“. I hope you’ll attend the webinar and check out my QuickGuides if you do research in those areas.

Previously my presence on the web had focused solely on my interest in family history, but now I’ve paired my other favorite hobby – poetry! – with my love for genealogy, and feature both here on my website.

Visit my poetry page to learn about my first collection of poetry, which was awarded the Edwin M. Eakin Memorial Book Publication Award by the Poetry Society of Texas and is available for purchase.

I enjoy doing poetry readings, workshops and other presentations to writing groups, genealogical societies, home education support groups, and any other gathering of passionate learners! Please visit my presentations page for details.

Thanks for taking the time to visit Come back again soon!
